Vermicelli Uppma

Most regions in the world have their own variations of noodles-based dishes. In India, Vermicelli–made from Durum Wheat–is used in both sweet and savory preparations. Vermicelli Uppma is a harmonious blend of different textures and flavors. Onions, fresh ginger, peas and carrots cooked with cashews, very mild spices and nutty Vermicelli noodles make this Uppma a great dish to serve any time of the day. It’s sophisticated enough to present to company yet appealing to the little ones in your family who might have sensitive palattes.

  1. Delicious 4 Star Review

We found this dish nicely spiced and delicious. The directions were clear and easy to follow. Our only problem was that the label on the Cumin Mix packet did not say “Cumin Mix” so there was a little confusion until we figured out which packet it was.

I am NOT a cook. Well, I’m getting there now thanks to this (almost) fool proof system. I found everything laid out and I love the pre measured ingredients, shopping is much easier. Watch out for hidden packets that may lie buried in the Vermicelli 🙂
